Anyone who wants to express themselves authentically through music.

Musical fluency requires fully understanding and intending EVERYTHING you play. Achieving this through complicated music is simply not possible without resorting to mimicry and muscle memory. The method involves 'speaking' notes with intention through improvisation. Playing sophisticated music comes later when it is played with an effortless deep understanding - the same way we use language in everyday conversation.

Absolutely! If you understand music when you hear it, you have an inner musician. This method requires no special talent, just a willingness to let go and express everything you play authentically.

Note reading can be as effortless as reading this sentence is right now but it must be incrementally learned so as to never be overwhelming. This method will teach you to read music fluently in a surprisingly simple common-sense approach.

Before the twentieth century musical fluency was much more common; classical composer would improvise entire concerts. But with the introduction of recorded music and more printed music an industry of music education built around reproducing certain performances developed. These days improvisation is mainly associated with jazz but it can be applied to any genre with the right approach. Playing music to impress is deeply ingrained in our culture and so music teaching has largely moulded itself to meet (and promote) this mindset.

Yes, certain children can benefit. It depends on their willingness to play for self-expression rather than praise. Traditional education often uses a carrot-and-stick approach, where the 'work' of playing music is rewarded later. This method is different; the reward is the playing itself. This mindset shift can be challenging for many.
